TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By purchasing specialty cupcakes and custom cakes, it is assumed that you have read and accept our terms and conditions in full.  All prices are non-negotiable and priced according to your specifications of design and size of cake/cupcakes/dessert/bouquet. Once an order is placed, adjustments and alterations may only be made at the discretion of Baby Girl Bakes on an individual basis. We reserve the right to refuse any adjustments and alterations after an order is finalized.

Payment

Orders and dates are NOT held or secure until payment is received, so it is very important to make payment promptly. For orders that are booked more than a month prior to pickup, a non-refundable retainer fee of 50% will need to be made to secure your order date. Final payment is then due 14 days before order pickup. Orders booked less than a month prior to pick up require full payment of order. Once the order is approved and finalized, our cancellation policy is in effect

Cancellations/Changes

It’s understandable that events get cancelled due to a variety of reasons. There is a considerable amount of preparation and work that goes into your order in advance of the required date. Many of our buttercream flowers and cake toppers are prepared by hand and stored in advance. 

Cupcake Bouquets, Flower Cupcakes, Single Tier Cakes

Changes and cancellations to orders are accepted up until 7 days prior to the date of pick up. You may make any changes that you wish to an order until 7 days before pickup, however, we are unable to make changes on orders after that time frame. That means that for a cake due on a Saturday, we would need to receive an WRITTEN EMAIL notification of changes or cancellation the Saturday before by 2pm, for a 75% refund.  If an order is cancelled between 3-6 days prior by 2pm, for a 50% refund.  Less that 3 days prior, you will not receive a refund or credit.

Two Tier Cakes/Large Orders

Changes and cancellations to orders are accepted up until 14 days prior to the date of pick up. You may make any changes that you wish to an order until 14 days before pickup, however, I am unable to make changes on orders after that time frame. Cancellations on large orders or tiered cakes given more than 7 days prior to pickup/delivery will partial refund of 50% to the balance payment  (retainer/deposit is non refundable). No refunds will be provided for orders that are cancelled with less than 14 days notice due to costs incurred by the initiation of an order.

All orders are made to order and available for pickup or delivery only from Baby Girl Bakes listed addresses. Any non-collected orders due to sickness or extreme circumstances are partially refundable only at the discretion of Baby Girl Bakes. I reserve the right to refuse a refund of any order placed via this online shop should we deem it unreasonable.

Best Before Date/Storage Conditions 

My specialty cakes are made entirely from natural ingredients, so they do not have the extended shelf life of most supermarket cakes, which contain additives and preservatives to ensure their prolonged life. Due to the possible perishable nature of these products, it is not recommended that the Bouqcakes, boxed floral cupcakes, or custom cakes be kept out longer than two days.  Items should remain covered and be stored in a cool, dry place. Refrigeration can alter the texture of cupcakes, but in the summer months it is preferable if the product isn’t consumed immediately or refrigerated.  It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure the storage conditions are adhered to. There are no refunds available on any perishable item. 

Allergens found in home kitchen

All of my edible artwork creations are baked and decorated in a domestic kitchen setting. I am unfortunately unable to cater to specific allergy requirements; however, I do offer gluten free and vegan options with at least a 14-day notice.  My kitchen is not a gluten-free area, but the recipe is.  In addition, nuts and nut by-products are other allergens found within the home kitchen.  

Please be aware that although ingredients such as nuts and nut by products are not used in my cake products they are still used in my kitchen, so I cannot guarantee that any of my cakes are allergen free. If you chose to place an order this will be at your own risk. 

Design

Due to the nature of these products I cannot always guarantee 100% uniformity in colors from order to order, separate batches may vary slightly, however I always strive to keep consistency.  If a specific color needs to be matched, a swatch must be provided via mail or dropped off as color images can vary from one screen to another. 

None of my products will ever replicate or look identical to another photo, and I will not make direct copies of other baker's work. Baby Girl Bakes is not able to provide a refund for a cake or other product that does not look identical to a photo. Customer design specifications can be made via the order inquiry form. Final designs and variants thereof are at the final discretion of Baby Girl Bakes to ensure the best possible result for each individual customer. 

Different sized boxed bouquet cupcake flowers or bouqcakes contain different variants of design and colors.  Any changes in design, date, and collection time are at the discretion of Baby Girl Bakes and may not always be possible. Final design specifications are at Baby Girl Bakes discretion. 

Order Pickup

Pickup and/or delivery times will be arranged between the customer and Baby Girl Bakes. Once you have selected your preferred pickup time, it is your responsibility to adhere to the chosen time and date.  Please understand that when the pickup window closes, I have other commitments and cannot guarantee that I will be available.  Any rescheduled collection times will be solely at Baby Girl Bakes discretion and cannot be guaranteed under any circumstances. Once your order has been picked up from my cottage bakery, Baby Girl Bakes is no longer responsible should damage occur during transport. The best location for your item is in the foot well of a car and NOT on the seat as it could slide off when car breaking.  Cakes should be carried from the bottom of the cake box and NOT from the box sides as that could damage the cake. 

If you are in any way unhappy with your order please inform me promptly so that I can rectify any issues in a timely fashion. Refunds or replacements cannot be issued without return of product.
